My Story:

Q. What are e-cigs?
A. An e-cig or electronic cigarette is a device powered by a
battery that vaporizes a mixture of propylene glycol or vegetable glycol,
nicotine,
and flavoring
that simulates the smoking of a tobacco cigarette and delivers the

Q. What are the advantages of the e-cig over tobacco cigs?
A.
First, E-cigs
can be used in places tobacco cigarettes are banned such as restaurants,

and public places because

Q. Can e-cigs be used to quit smoking tobacco?

Q. What about propylene glycol, isn’t that anti-freeze?
A.
Yes, PG is used as
automobile antifreeze and in solar water heating systems.
However, it is often confused with ethylene glycol a highly toxic
component of some previous antifreeze products.
Some anti-smoking zealots have tried to confuse people by referring to e-cig use
as "smoking antifreeze" without distinguishing between PG and EG.
PG is also used As a solvent in many pharmaceuticals, including oral, injectable
and topical formulations. Notably, diazepam, which is insoluble in water, uses
propylene glycol as its solvent in its clinical, injectable form and as a food
additive.
Because it is environmentally benign, and way less hazardous, PG is used as a
safer alternative to EG, as is vegetable glycol, as antifreeze.
Q. Is one E-Cig enough?
A. Maybe, If you just want to use it for those occasions when you can't smoke tobacco, one e-cig will probably do the trick. If you want to significantly reduce your tobacco consumption, you'll probably need at least three, two charging while using the third. I use four. My daughter and son-in-law each use three. Q. How long will it last.
A. After two months, I'm still using the first e-cig battery and vaporizer I purchased. The manufacturer regards the Q-510 as "disposable" after five charges.
